I trusted my instincts and took a massive leap of faith and started my own recruiting firm from my bedroom floor with a FAX, a phone book, and a stack of index cards. Like most entrepreneurs, I was terrified, but my determination to make it work trumped that fear. I craved the autonomy and freedom of being my own boss, and I wanted the opportunity to make more money than ever before.
